2012 Energy "Good Scout" Award

Representative Fred Upton (pictured above with NCAC Scouts, NCAC Board VP Jack Gerard, and Scout Executive Les Baron) is the 2012 Energy "Good Scout" honoree. He was recognized at the Energy "Good Scout" Award Luncheon on March 27 for his dedication to the principles of the Scout Oath and Law while serving as Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Also featured at the luncheon was Pulitzer Prize-winner Dr. Daniel Yergin (pictured below), author of the bestseller The Quest: Energy, Security, and the Remaking of the Modern World.

The event was attended by leaders in the energy community who also contributed to the revision of the Energy Merit Badge.
