Announcing the 2013 Greater Fredericksburg Area “Good Scout” Dinner.  This special event on May 29, 2013, at the Fredericksburg Country Club supports Friends of Scouting.  The guest speaker for this special event is The Honorable Rob Wittman.  Please come out one and all to support this special event.  Aquia District could also use the help of all our unit and district volunteers to make copies of the attached flyer and ask businesses where you frequent, friends, neighbors and family to directly support this special event. CLICK FOR FLYER.

SUMMER JOBS

Goshen Scout Reservation is seeking camp staff for the summer of 2013. Qualified applicants must be at least  18 years of age or older, be willing to relocate to Goshen VA from June 8th until August 7th, be eligible for membership in the Boy Scouts of America and be able to pass a background check. Room and board is provided as well as a wages. Physical requirements for the positions include the ability to walk/ travel in various conditions and over uneven terrain; be able to lift at least 30 pounds, to be able to fulfill the physical demands of the position (such as swimming, rowing, etc.) and to be able to live and work in non-air conditioned facilities. The NCAC proudly announces the NCAC Scouting Challenge beginning January 1, 2012, and running on a yearly basis through Dec 31, 2015. The Challenge consists of four separate challenges; specifically:

Challenge 1: I'm Prepared
Challenge 2: I'm Earth-Friendly
Challenge 3: I'm Fit
Challenge 4: I'm Connected

Each of the four challenges will be highlighted and emphasized during one quarter of the year, yet will be available for accomplishment at any time during the year. (Click for Information)
