“Service In The Community”

Life Scout Grady of Troop 1983 along with volunteers from the Fairfax County Cemetery Preservation Association organized and led other Scouts and volunteers in a preservaton effort at the Pearson/Hunt Family Cemetery. Grady and his team have put in a lot of hard work and the work will continue until the job is done. Grady is on track to complete his Eagel project soon and as with all Eagle projects, the work isn't finished until the paperwork is complete. Find out more about Grady and his trail to Eagle by clicking here.

The Pearson/Hunt cemetery is just one of many family cemeteries within the county that are slowing falling to disrepair as family members pass or leave the area.

Tour and Activities Plan

"As all of you know the new electronic “Tour and Activity Plan” is due to be turned on May 1, 2012 and I am sure you are either getting or have numerous questions about it.  There are still numerous questions that are still being answered and with Summer Camp season approaching we can not just go from the “Tour Plan” to the “Tour and Activity Plan” over night.  So to help the leaders ease their way into the “Tour and Activity Plan” we will still be accepting the paper “Tour Plan” until September 1, 2012.

Follow the link to the training information on the new plan.
