About Us

The Catoctin Mountain District was formed from the Francis Scott Key District in June 2003 and covers the northern half of Frederick County.

Area and Communities Served:  From the Frederick County - Washington County line follow Rt. 77 east to Tower Road; then South on Gambrill Park Road until it intersects US Rt. 40; follow Route 40 east to Frederick City; follow Patrick Street through Frederick City till it meets Interstate 70 east of the city; follow I-70 to the Frederick County - Carroll County line. Everything in Frederick County north of this line is Catoctin Mountain District. Cities and towns include Emmitsburg, Frederick City (North), Libertytown, Mt. Airy, Mt. Pleasant, New Market, Thurmont, Walkersville and Woodsboro.
