Boys looking for Colonial District approval of their eagle project or for a district representative to sit on their Eagle Board of Review should follow the following procedures:

Eagle Project Approval

Scouts should call Mr.  Bob Henke at (703) 971 7581 for a meeting to obtain district signature and go ahead. All other signatures required for the project should be obtained before calling.

Procedure for the Eagle Board of Review (BOR)

An adult member of the scout’s Troop Committee or Scoutmaster should call Mr. Henke to schedule a BOR at least 3 weeks before desired date of the board.

The Eagle Committee Board member is then assigned by Mr Henke.

The Troop Committee Member/Scoutmaster is called back and given the name and phone number of the assigned Eagle Board Member. The Troop Committee member calls up designated Eagle Board Member and they agree on a mutual date on which to conduct the BOR.

The troop must deliver to the assigned Eagle Board Member at least 2 weeks before the scheduled BOR a completed copy of the scout’s eagle package. This should include a signed copy of the form, requirement 6 and the complete project report with all the relevant signatures. Letters of recommendation do not have to be included in the copy of the package.

The BOR is held and the eagle board member reports the results to the eagle board chair.
