Celebrate a special day for all Boy Scouts, families and friends with D.C. United! Get discounted group tickets and your troop or pack name on the marquee scoreboard during the game. Set up your group tailgate party with the rest of the D.C. United supporters in Lot 8 and join in the Soccer Celebration!

Get Ready for Goshen 2009!
The Spring 2008 edition of the Goshen Gazette is now available to help you in planning your 2009 Goshen experience! It's a big file, but more than worthwhile to read!
Join Scouting Training will be held on Monday, May 19th in Carroll's Cottage at Camp William B. Snyder and on Thursday, May 22nd at the Marriott Scout Service Center. Both sessions will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Wilderness First Aid Instructors are needed!
Philmont Scout Ranch now requires Wilderness First Aid current Certification by at least one preferably two, (either an advisor or a youth participant) in each crew.
WHO
Health & Safety Committee, National Capital Area Council (NCAC) in cooperation with American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) developed a custom Boy Scout Wilderness First Aid Course that has been recognized and approved by National Boy Scouts and Philmont Scout Ranch.
How
A. Be a Trained Boy Scout Leader -- Proof of completed Adult Leader Training is required
B. Be a Certified CPR/First Aid Instructor for any recognized training agency (American Red Cross, American Heart Association, ASHI, MEDIC First Aid, etc..)
C. Become a Certified CPR/First Aid Instructor for ASHI (1 !/2 day course to be run at the end of May)
D. Fill out ASHI Trainer Form
E. Purchase Instructor Materials

Camp William B. Snyder Cub World Registration is now – LIVE
Please direct your Cub Scout Packs to the front page of the council webpage (www.boyscouts-ncac.org), and it will direct them from there toward each program they are planning to register for.

Each Program is unique and specific to their individual Online System, some use Double Knot and some use Thriva, so please familiarize yourself with the guidelines of all the programs with regard to signing up, so that it can be explained properly to volunteers and parents.
