SAMPLE LETTER for an ExxonMobil EMPLOYEE

Dear Scouters of  ____________ District, for FOS

In your spare time, when you aren't participating in Boy Scout activities, are you an ExxonMobil employee?  Do you know a parent of a scout who is an ExxonMobil employee?

If so, we encourage you to make a donation or ask those parents who are employees to make a donation to the Boy Scouts of America, National Capital Area Council (charity #8046),
as part of the "(Year) ExxonMobil Employees' Favorite Charities Campaign".  The dates of the campaign are _____.

With ExxonMobil's Favorite Charities Campaign, the company matches ~ $0.35 for every $1.00 donated to the charity of your choice.

An illustrative example is an employee donates $100 and the company matches it with a $35 donation for a total of $135. A great way to leverage your donation!

Your donation can also be earmarked for F.O.S. However, to be properly credited to the District and Unit to which the employee/Scouter is a member or would like the credit to go to, you need to pay by check and include the following information on your check:

Example: 2011 Friends of Scouting/ Troop
