Ceremonial Honor Unit

The Ceremonial Honor Unit serves as a resource to fulfill internal and external requests for special duty assignments, such as presenting colors or reciting the Scout Oath and Law at Council and/or district events; participating in local/national parades or events; providing volunteer support to various local/national organizations/events, such as veterans organizations; and the laying of a wreath at the BSA Memorial (Washington, DC Ellipse) on national holidays.
 

Members of the public wishing to request the assistance of the Honor Guard please send an email to SupportScouting@Scouting.org.


To be eligible, participants must be a registered member of BSA; if an adult volunteer, must be Youth Protection Trained; must wear a complete official BSA uniform to all events; must attend Honor Unit orientation; must commit to participate in two events/activities per year; and must respond to all invitations for assignments with a yes/no.
