Catholic Scouter Recognitions

CCoS Archdiocese of Washington Adult Recognition Patch for 100 hours of service...There are many ways to formally recognize those Scouters who significantly contribute to Scouting in the Catholic Church. In the Archdiocese of Washington, we support the following awards:

Archdiocese of Washington Patch  [PDF] [MSWord]
This patch, shown at right, is presented to all persons who are active members of the Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting and who clearly demonstrate through 100 hours of service that they are committed to carrying out the programs of Youth Ministry through Scouting under Catholic auspices. Patch can be earned at any time.

Certificate of Appreciation  [MSWord]
This certificate, signed by the CCoS Chair and Chaplain, can be presented numerous times to show special appreciation for a particular event. These certificates can be obtained at any time.

Cardinal Hickey Award  [MSWord]
This plaque is given to groups or individuals that have provided significant service to the Catholic Committee in support of its mission to carry out the programs of Youth Ministry in some substantial manner.

Bronze Pelican  [PDF] [MSWord]
This national emblem is presented to a Scouter who has demonstrated his commitment to Scouting in the Catholic Church for three to five years. Nominations are due by 30 June.

St. George Award  [PDF] [MSWord]
This national emblem is presented to a Scouter who has demonstrated his continuing commitment to Scouting in the Catholic Church for a significant period of time. Nominations are due by 30 June.

Father Edward Fuller, S.J. Award  [MSWord]
This Archdiocese of Washington award is presented for long and sustained service to Catholic Youth in Scouting and Camp Fire in the Archdiocese of Washington.

Monsignour Brady Scouting Award  [PDF] [MSWord]
The Monsignor Brady Scouting Award, given annually by the Archdiocese of Washington Office of Youth Ministry, is presented to a Scouter for long and sustained service at the archdiocesan level supporting the Scouting program. This nomination is supported through the Scouter's parish pastor and forwarded to the Office of Youth Ministry.
