Council Fundraising The National Capital Area Council receives financial support from many different sources. It runs a variety of special events designed to honor community leaders, tell the story of the council, and to raise funds to support our numerous programs. Strong family and corporate support allows us to make focused efforts within our communities for major gifts. Thousands of companies, organizations, and leaders not even registered in Scouting continually make NCAC their charity. In addition, through the annual Friends of Scouting Campaign we ask for gifts from active members and alumni who have seen first hand the benefit of the Scouting program for their children. Scouting funds are received through a variety of broad categories. Thanks to you and others, Scouting is a top program in our area.
