The Blue Blaze, the newsletter for the Catoctin Mountain District, Boy Scouts of America, was established in July 2003 when our new District was formed.  The purpose of the newsletter is to keep the  District Scouting leaders informed about activities, policies and opportunities related to Scouting in our District and Council.  It is also a forum for units to report on activities that they have done or plan to do.

If you have information, articles or photos that you would like to have included in The Blue Blaze, please contact Linda Sundergill, Editor, at lindasundergill@comcast.net or call 301/898-7549.  For any articles or photos that identify youth, please have the parents of the youth send written permission to use the articles and/or photos in The Blue Blaze. The Blue Blaze gets posted to our District Website and is available to the public.
