An Informational session will be held to discuss the spring transition from Webelos to Scouts.
 
Location:  
Frederick Evangelical Lutheran Church
35 East Church Street

This is open to all Appalachian Trail Arrow of Light scouts (a.k.a WebelosII) and families
 
AOL Den Leaders are also strongly encouraged to attend.
 
We cover topics such as:
  • Boy Scout Terminology
  • The focus of the Boy Scout program
  • What to expect in the transition process and who does what
  • The differences between the Cub and Boy Scout programs
  • Adjusting responsibilities
  • The new adult role
  • Troop organization
  • Selecting a Troop
  • The transition timeline
  • Summer Camps

 

Local Scoutmasters from several Troops will be on hand to answer your general questions about the Boy Scout program.
 
Senior Patrol Leaders from several Troops will be on hand to answer your scout’s general questions about the Boy Scout program.
 
This is a NO pressure, NO recruitment effort opportunity for you and your scout to learn more about Boy Scouts and how to make the transition process a smooth one. Is your scout on the fence about continuing to Boy Scouts? Bring him out to talk to the Boy Scouts and find out what it is really all about.
