3) Scout Oratory Contest

The highlight of our District Dinner (March 15) is hearing from our
Oratory Contest Winners. One Cub Scout, One Venturer (or Sea
Scout, or Eagle Scout), and one Boy Scout, chosen from the best
orators in all of our units, present their 3 minute talks at the
dinner.

Please give some thought to adding this element to your unit's
program in the next month or two. District judges will hear your
unit's winners on February 20 OR March 6 at a Charles Wesley United Methodist Church, 6817 Dean Drive, McLean, VA.     . We're
looking for a three minute talk on how a Scout benefitted from any part
of our program, or a funny Scout-related story, with a lesson learned.
Our winning speakers will be our guests at the dinner, and receive a
small speakers honorarium and a certificate - suitable for framing!
