On September 28th - 30th, 2012, the Western Shore District Order of the Arrow Chapter will be holding its 2012 Fall Ordeal. This will be your chance to get to know your brothers in the order as well as participating in some cheerful service. The Ordeal will be held on Patuxent River Naval Air Station at the Mattapany Day Camp. Since the Ordeal is being held on the base, pre-registration is a must. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Ordeal.
If you are an Ordeal candidate, let me congratulate you on your election into the Order of the Arrow. Those around you feel that you personify the high ideals of our Order. The Ordeal will be your opportunity to become a member of Scouting’s National Honor Society. We will be working, so be prepared. Good work gloves are highly recommended. Also, please bring a separate tarp or groundsheet other than the one for your tent. You will need it! Download the Ordeal Candidate letter HERE.
If you are a Order of the Arrow member - Ordeals are an excellent opportunity to meet your brothers. Whether serving as an Elangomat, cook, support or ceremonies team member, you will be participating in a day of cheerful service followed by some fellowship in the afternoon. Come prepared for hard work and a lot of fun. Download the OA Member letter HERE.
