.jpg) Emily Spoke at our Council's Government, Labor, and Management Good Scout Reception in May where the National Capital Area Council honored Rep. John Larson (CT-1), Joseph J. Nigro, General President, Sheet Metal Workers' International Association, and Phebe Novakovic, COO, General Dynamics. Ms. Novakovic, formerly Executive Vice President of General Dynamic's Marine Systems, was impressed by Emily's enthusiasm for and understanding of seasmanship! As you can see from the pictures below, Emily's talk was highly interactive--she even had the crowd doing semaphore with her! We also included a list of the Top 10 reasons why she loves Sea Scouting.
