If you complete YPT in person (not on-line) please submit a copy of your completion certificate with your application To become a Merit Badge Counselor, you must meet the BSA requirements and be registered by the BSA. Those adults failing to submit or submitting an incomplete BSA Adult application will not be registered as a MBC. All adults must submit a MBC-BSA adult application specifically for being a Merit Badge Counselor (position #42) regardless of whether they are already registered in another Scouting position.
