Charter Organization Representative Specific Training (D72):

Fast Start (D62) is highly recommended and available at myscouting.org.

Chartered Organization Representative Training (COR) is for Scouters who are new to the Chartered Organization Representative (CR) role and provides an overview of the responsibilities* that come with that important position.  Before coming, CR’s are strongly encouraged to take Fast Start COR Training on-line at http://www.scouting.org/Training/Adult/CORFastStart.aspx. If a CR is not familiar with the Scouting program then you are encouraged to also take on-line This Is Scouting which can be found at  https://myscouting.scouting.org.

The Chartered Organization Representative (CR) is the direct contact between the Scouting Unit and the chartered organization who holds the Unit(s) Charter. This individual is also the organization's contact with the District Committee and the National Capital Area Council. The chartered organization representative is a member of the District Committee and is a voting member of the Council. If the chartered organization has more than one unit, one representative serves all chartered units.
