Youth Protection Training: 

NEW: YOUTH PROTECTION MUST BE RENEWED EVERY 2 YEARS!  (as of June 2008)

The Boy Scouts of America are very serious about protection our youth and leaders who participate in Scouting.  While Youth Protection is not required to complete Basic Training, it is necessary for all trips requiring Tour Permits and is strongly recommended for all leaders. It is also available as an online course.  

Note * All Cub Scout , Boy Scout and Venturing Leaders must have completed Youth Protection to be considered trained and to earn (and wear) the Trained Strip. 

Venturing Youth Protection Training:

This training is in addition to the Boy Scout/Cub Scout Youth Protection Training and is REQUIRED to complete Venturing Training.
