UPCOMING EVENTS May 1 - Ordeal Planning meeting May 3 to 5 - Lodge Camp Service Weekend Camp Snyder May 10 to 12 - Zekiah Chapter Spring OA Ordeal will be held at Camp Merrick (May Chapter meeting Saturday 7pm) May 17 to 19 - Section Conclave Camp Snyder The May Monthly Chapter Meeting will take place at the Ordeal on Saturday May 11th at Camp Merrick in Nanjemoy. It will start at 7pm. The address for Camp Merrick is 3650 Rick Hamilton Place, Nanjemoy, MD. You can come for the Ordeal, the Ordeal Feast at 5pm or just come for the meeting. See the Ordeal details below. We will be planning our fun summer activities which include Kings Dominion and supporting the Century Bike Ride. Come and meet the newest OA members from your troops! We will have an Ordeal Planning Meeting on Wednesday, May 1st at Ledos in La Plata 9375 Chesapeake St, La Plata from 6:30 - 7:30pm. Come and eat dinner with us! People who should attend are: Mr. Farmer - Adult Advisor Michael Bennett - Chapter Chief Nate Dudley - Ordeal Master Andrew Bennett - Vice Chief or Ceremonies Richie Thomas - Vice Chief of Programs Aaron King - Vice Chief Elangomats - Jacob Steele, Patrick Collins, Jack Browning, Justin Magill Ceremonies Team - Jeffrey Blake, JJ Kushner Cook Crew - Mr. Thomas, Mrs. Bennett (and hopefully other volunteers) Staff - any other OA member who wants to be staff or come to the Ordeal to help. The Zekiah Chapter Spring Ordeal will take place on May 10-12 at Camp Merrick 3650 Rick Hamilton Place, Nanjemoy, MD. We have more than 30 new candidates this year, so it will be really big. Online registration is available through May 9th at this website. Please sign up as soon as possible so we can plan for the number of people coming. Remember Brotherhood conversions are still no cost and who can be Brotherhood? any current member who has been a member for 10 months. If you are interested in doing your Brotherhood conversion, please let us know that too. Please pass this info on to any new candidates in your troop. The cost is: $60.00 per Ordeal Candidate

$15.00 per Feast Only It is important for our chapter to have a good showing at this event because this is where the next Section Officers are voted for. We might have some candidates from our Chapter run so, we need your support. Zekiah just earned the Gold Award in January at the Lodge Banquet and it would be good to have some representation at the Conclave and to support the Section Officer voting. If you would like to go or carpool, let me know. We currently have 6 people going. You can also sign up and come for the day.
