The Spring Camporee theme was "Back to Brownsea" celebrating the original Boy Scout encampment and some of the original games used by Baden-Powell in August 1907.
The following information concerning an upcoming change affecting the BSA National policy on Youth Protection Training (YPT) was disseminated at the last ACC Meeting with the Council Commissioner. This information was disclosed at the BSA National Annual Meeting in May 2008.
Effective 01 January 2009:
- Scouters will be required to take Youth Protection Training every two years. In the past, it was recommended that Scouters re-take the YPT every two years, this change will make it mandatory.
- Someone on the Tour Permit must have taken YPT within the last two years. Current policy only requires that someone have taken YPT at some point.
