New training report form as of 3-3-2010: mdtrainingrecords@comcast.net. Please use this address to send in your individual as well as unit adult training records. Report sheet can be found on the training page.
Training: just posted, 3-2-2010, on the training page: What Is A Trained Leader. This sheet lists the courses that leaders need to take to be considered completely trained under the new manadtory training requirements.

Cub Scout Leader Specific and Boy Scout Leader Specific Training Price Reduction Announced:
Cub Scout Leader Specific and Boy Scout Leader Specific training will now cost $10
In an effort to make training more affordable to everyone and the mandate of all leaders being trained, the Montgomery District has just announced a price reduction on the cost of Cub Scout Leader Specific and Boy Scout Leader Specific Training. The cost of the required book(s) will no longer be included in the course fee. You will still be required to bring the appropriate book(s) to training. The required books will be available for sale at training (Cub Scout Leader Book, Scoutmaster Leader Handbook as well as the current edition of the Boy Scout Handbook).
If you have already paid for the March 6th training please contact Mary Lou - mlgundersen@comcast.net.
Unfortunately there can not be a reduction in the costs for Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills and BALOO as they will remain the same.

BALOO TRAINING DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED again from April 17, 2010 to April 24th. Please mark the change on your calendar and spread the word.

Attention All registured Scout Leaders; Cub, Boy,Venturing, Varsity and SeaScouts !
Please be aware that all leadership MUST be Trained. You MUST meet this requirement to recharter for 2011.
Required to be Trained by December 31, 2010: Cubmasters, Scoutmasters,Varsity Scout Coaches, Venturing Crew Advisors and Sea Scout Skippers.
Required to be trained by December 31, 2011: Beginning January 1, 2011, all direct leaders will be required to complete training. Direct contact leaders are anyone who comes into direct contact with youth members, and includes assistants to the top leaders and all den leader.

This form is designed to be turned into the District only.
Record your training on this form and turn in a copy to your Unit as well as to the Montgomery District Training Team. Please e-mail to: mdtrainingrecords@comcast.net

ELIGIBILITY: The fastest car in each pack for the: TIGER CUBS, WOLVES, BEARS, WEBELOS I and WEBELOS II can participate. In addition, each pack can send one car to participate in an appearance competition.

The Montgomery District Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Venturing Roundtables all meet together on the same night in the same location. We meet on the second Thursday of the month; the next RTs are December 10, 2009 and January 14, 2010, February 11, March 11, April 8, May 13, June 10, July (no meeting), August 12, 2010. Uniform Exchange The Uniform Exchange is free. If it fits it is yours. Please check your closets for out grown clean uniforms and parts for Cubs, Boy and Venturing and donate them to the uniform exchange. (You do not have to bring anything to take something home.) Youth and adult uniforms and parts are accepted. Contact mlgundersen@comcast.net for more information or to make arrangements to shop the Uniform exchange. Waist size is need when requesting short or pants. Neck size is needed when requesting shirts.
