Adult Leaders Need for 2013 National Scout Jamboree
New Application Deadline Feb. 29
NCAC is sending 12 Boy Scout troops and four Venturing patrols to the 2013 National Jamboree at the brand new Summit Bechtel Reserve in New River Gorge National River Area, WV. Each Jamboree Scout troop will require four adult leaders, a Scoutmaster and three assistants. Each Jamboree Venturing Patrol will require a Crew Advisor and up to one associate. The NCAC Jamboree Committee will accept applications through February 29, 2012.
For instructions/qualifications/requirements to be a Jamboree leader, go to www.bsajamboree.org. After submitting your leader application to National BSA, applicants must also complete a NCAC Jamboree Adult Leader Application and Contract. This form is available online www.boyscouts-ncac.org/jamboree.
Planning a Tour?
Remember the Tour Planning Worksheet has replaced both local and National Tour Permits. The entire Tour Planning Worksheet must be completed and submitted to NCAC for approval. NCAC will only accept the version of the Tour Planning Worksheet found here. It may be submitted in person, by fax (301-564-3648) or by email at ncactourplan@scouting.org.
Remember to submit your worksheet at least 21 days in advance to ensure enough time to review and assist your planning as necessary. When review is complete, the second half of the plan is returned to you to carry on your travels.
