2012 Bus Loading Date:

 BUS LOADING - (see below) 

The Chapter is in charge of Goshen Bus Loading at the:  Fairfax County Government Center; 12011 Government Center Parkway, Fairfax, VA

Goshen Bus Loading:

We are required to direct traffic and load the buses that are going to Goshen camp.  We need you to be there.  We must provide the staffing for this event.

We need at least 10 -15 Arrowmen each day!

This is a beaded event.

This year we have a Saturday and a Sunday that we are obligated  to assist

The dates we have are July 28th and July 29th.  

This is a beaded event - light blue beads will be given and if you provide the completed paperwork you will get SS hours signed at a Chapter meeting.

  Arrive between 8AM

Leave time between 11:30AM and Noon

Doughnuts will be provided by the Chapter on July 28th and 29th, only.

We need to know if you can help so we have an idea if we will have enough Arrowmen to do the job.  Please e-mail Mrs,Gundersen: oagundersen@comcast.net. 

Bus Loading is part of the Chapters obligation to service. 

If you can not assist on the above dates, feel free to go down any Saturday or Sunday.  When you sign in mark yourself as Montgomery Chapter, so the Chapter will get credit for your service.  Please drop Mrs. Gundersen an e-mail to let the chapter know that you assisted at bus loading and the date.

Required Dress:
Scout Shorts
Scout t-shirt (if you do not have one of the Chapter t-shirts we will give you one when you arrive)
Your sash - (safety pin it to your shirt)
Closed toed shoes and socks  NO sandals!  (we are on a hot parking lot!)
Scout Hat
Suntan lotion
Bring a water bottle with water in it
If rain - then wear rain gear - yes the buses go in and out in to camp in the rain.+
Work gloves - mark them with  your name - if you help load or unload camp gear on of off the bus you will want to have them.
 

Snacks should be for sale as well as patches.

FROM I-66 WEST (driving from Capital Beltway, I-495 exit I-66 West)
Exit 55B, (formerly Exit 15), onto Fairfax County Parkway North (Route 7100)
Right turn onto Fair Lakes Parkway East
Right turn at light onto Monument Drive
Right turn at light onto Government Center Parkway
Government Center to your left and Pennino and Herrity Buildings to your right.
