Unit Checking Accounts

Setting up a Unit Checking Account:

1. Ask your chartering organization to let you use their tax id number
2. If you can't get one from your chartering organization, go to IRS.ORG and apply for a SS4 number for your unit, this can be used as a Tax ID number.  You will not need to file taxes for this.  You will have to pay sales tax as a unit, since you are not a 501c3.  Your unit will not be able to get a 501c3.  (SS4 is only for identification purposes)
