What Every Cub Scout Leader Should Know About “The District”:  The sole purpose for your local District Committee is to support you, your pack and your den.  The District Committee is not a scouting “supervisor” but rather a partner to help you understand all aspects of Cub Scouting, implement the best possible Cub Scout program, and take full advantage of resources, programs, and activities offered to the wider scouting community through the National Capital Area Council and BSA nationally.
