Volunteer Assistance Needed (AND EARN THE VERY LIMITED "SCOUTING ONTHE MALL" CENTENNIAL PATCH) The Centennial Scouting on the Mall event will need volunteers for two daily shifts - 9AM to 2 PM and 2 PM to 7 PM. The first shift will set up displays and activities one hour prior to opening at 10 AM. The second shift will remain one hour past closing at 6 PM to secure displays and equipment. Each shift will minimally require the following personnel: one professional Scouter; one commissioner; one volunteer shift leader; unit volunteers (pack, troop, ship, crew) of no more than 20 adult and youth volunteers, including at least two adult leaders. It’s fun. It’s free. And, July 23 through August 8, it’ll be smack in the center of all of the action on the National Mall! Be sure to pre-register for a passport. That’ll get you quick and easy access to select parts of the campus.
