Charter Organization Representative Training (COR) - Telephone Reference Check

Required Training:

Online training can be found at myscouting.org.  Please be sure to associate your BSA ID number to your account, under my profile.  If you do not know your BSA ID number or need assistance please contact Mary Lou Gundersen: 301-869-5625 or mdtrainingrecords@comcast.net.
 
Everyone who is registered in a Scout Unit must be completely trained in the position that they are registered for by December 2011.  If you have not completed the required training for your position you will be dropped from the Unit by National Boy Scouts.

All registered members of a Scout Unit must take:  (All located online at myscouting.org.)

• Youth Protection (for the appropriate program you are in)
• This is Scouting
• Fast Start (for the appropriate program you are in)
• Leader Specific Training (for the appropriate program you are in)
• Troop Committee Challenge (if you are a committee person for Boy Scouts)

 
All required Cub Scout Adult Training is on line.
 
If you are in the Boy Scout Program including Varsity, Venture or Venturing, Se Scout programs, you must attend in person training in addition to the online trainings above to complete your training.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) Overnight Camping: Boy Scout Program including Varsity, Venture and Venturing must attend.

^[1] "Basics" Leader courses completed before January 1, 2010 can still help fulfill the "trained" requirement, but all leaders are encouraged to complete the latest adult leader courses.
^[2] Venturing and Ship leaders take Youth Protection Training for Venturing; all others take Youth Protection Training
^[3] Go to myscouting.org. Enter name of council (NCAC) and BSA ID number to update BSA training record.

^[5] Venturing Advisors and Associate Venturing Advisors whose crews have an active outdoor program must also complete Introduction to Outdoor Skills training to be considered fully trained
