NCAC - Old Dominion DistrictTrainingSTEM - Pilot program through 2012 only

  Overview

The STEM initiative (Scientific, Technical, Engineering, and Mathematics) is a tiered program, designed for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Venturers, to encourage greater interest in the technical disciplines.

NOVA and SuperNOVA are the two program levels. The practical hands-on principles found in NOVA are intended to encourage continued interest in STEM. These NOVA principles lead into the more demanding SuperNOVA program. The major distinction is the level of practical complexity and specific requirements for recognition.

This is a pilot version of the STEM program and is only valid through January 1, 2013.  Starting January 2013, all NOVA and SuperNOVA awards must use the current requirements.
