This online training course illustrates how using the Venturing program planning process can get a Venturing Advisor and their Crew up and running to a successful start.

Venturing Leader Specific Training (Basic Training)

The Venturing Leader Specific Training explains Venturing to all adults new to Venturing. There are five sessions: Here's Venturing, Understanding and Protecting Youth, Leadership and Organization, Awards and Recognition, and Resources and Program Planning. These session are offered at one time or individually. This course is required for the Advisor Key and Venturing Advisor Training Award.

Venturing Leadership Skills Course

The Venturing training sylabus is designed to be used by Advisors to teach leadership skills to all Venturing Scouts and Crews. There are nine leadership modules each beginning with an activity and followed by a reflection. Completion of this course is a requirement for the Venturing Silver Award, and coducting the course is a requirement for the Venuring Advisor Award of Merit.

Powder Horn

High-adventure resource training designed to introduce and expose Venturing and Boy Scout unit leaders to the activities and resources necessary to operate a successful outdoor/high-adventure Unit level program.

Youth Protection Guidelines

Training for Adult Venturing Leaders provides an overview of the developmental transition experienced by young people of Venturing age and how those transitions realted to the personal safety concerns of the Venturing program.

The Boy Scouts of America unveiled a new leader training syllabus focused on leadership positions. A new course, called This is Scouting was developed to help new leaders understand the history, aims, and methods of the Boy Scouts. It also provides insight to how the programs of the BSA interlock to serve youth throughout their formative years. This is an online course ONLY.
