‘Scouting for Adventure’ TV show

Boys’ Life magazine has always given you stories about Scout adventures — from backpacking to kayaking and everything in between.

Now, BL is bringing its Scout adventure stories to The Outdoor Channel television network in the new series “Scouting for Adventure — Presented by Boys’ Life.” The six episodes stress key outdoors skills and capture Scouts in action in a variety of locations as they explore the wilderness.

The episodes were filmed at national high adventure bases and Scout camps across the country.

Catch the show on The Outdoor Channel at the following times:

  • 8:30 a.m. Wednesday
  • 6:30 p.m. Wednesday
  • 2:00 p.m. Saturday

All times Eastern

A video clip of the first show can be found here:

Prince George District Mini-Camporee

The Prince George’s District will be holding a Mini-Jamboree and they have invited our units to participate since we are in their Field Area now.  It is being held October 24-26.  I know it is when our ordeal is, but I also know that everyone in our units will not be at the ordeal so this may be one of the things the scouts may want to participate in that weekend.

For more information, download the flyer:  Mini-Camporee   (PDF format)
